Ubuti, formally Everyone’s Connected, is a very basic social networking site. You can build a profile, upload photographs, blog and invite friends; but beyond that, there isn’t much to Ubuti.
Ubuti allows for minimal profile customization with about six color theme choices, there is nothing extravagant these options and you cannot modify them farther.
We found you can join communities or groups based on interest, but it is difficult to search for these communities. They are not categorized by topic or sub-category. Ubuti does not have an about us page or FAQ section. They do provide an email address if you have problems using the site.
Like most social network sites you can set your personal profile as public or private. Ubuti doesn’t offer music, or videos, or games or other time wasters. The most extravagant feature offered is blogging. We were also unable to search the user database. The only way we could find and contact other users was to go into a group. Additionally, we were unable to find a minimum user age in the terms of service.
While exploring the site we got the distinct impression that Ubuti is geared toward a spiritual or religious community atmosphere. Most of the “communities” on Ubuti are religious in nature. Users are encouraged to create their own groups. You can make your group public or private.
Although Ubuti is simplistic it serves its purpose. Ubuti is an especially good social network if you are looking for something with a religious emphasis.
