Title Tweets for Final Four March Madness

Sure Twitter is incredibly addicting, but its current game plan doesn't do much in the making money arena. But lately Twitter has come up with a couple ideas that have the potential to get the money streaming in. Capitalizing on the March Madness Final Four and Championship games (better late than never, right?) Twitter introduced March Tweetness ... I mean Title Tweets, giving Twitterers everywhere the option to stay up-to-date on every aspect of the tail end of the tournament.
Originally launched as March Tweetness earlier this week, Twitter had to pull the site when the NCAA went off about copyright and naming rights. Apparently the NCAA has naming rights on everything that has to do with March, they just haven't figured out whom to sue for using the name "March" in the calendar year. Always a little touchy where naming is concerned, the NCAA had Twitter scrambling to get a new site up in time -- sans naming violations -- for the games this weekend.
But Title Tweets has come up and replaced the aforementioned copyright violating site and allows Twits (proper noun for someone using Twitter similar to "Brits") to join up with their team to do a little trash talking on other teams, share bracket hopes and wishes and get the latest news on what's going down with their teams.
The Final Four games are Saturday at 6 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on CBS. And the Championship game will be Monday with the time still TBA. But check out our Sports iPhone Apps reviews to find out how you can get live updates on your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can also go back and check out President Obama's bracket and see how yours did compared to his (pssst, his wasn't so hot). Keep up on the latest tech news with these other blog posts:
