Twitter Coming to OnStar

You no longer have to choose between safe driving and an addiction to your Twitter account. OnStar, already making the roads a little bit better, is about to make them great with integrated access to Twitter to submit and receive tweets. Sure the concept of OnStar is great, but after the first year when it is no longer free, they had to come up with something to make it more appealing. With the addition of Twitter, we're pretty certain that General Motors has hit some marketing gold.
When we first heard about the partnership, we didn't think it would be all that exciting. Why would I need OnStar when I had my phone? However, they do make it sound pretty cool. Hands free tweeting. While you're driving OnStar's voice-activated hands-free calling can be used to convert your voice into text and vice versa, switching tweet responses into voice you can listen to as you're driving along on the road trip called life...
It gets even more cool when you think of the possibilities. If you're heading out on a road trip, just tweet where you're heading and ask for things to see, best place to get ice cream, best breakfast joint or favorite places to stay. So many possibilities and far less risk when you aren't trying to juggle your phone and the steering wheel.
We're hoping that someday OnStar will also integrate with the TopTenREVIEWS blog so you can listen to all the witty comments on today's tech news as you drive along. Until then, keep you and your stationary self entertained with these other blog posts:
